Wednesday, May 11th, 2022 - AUSPACK 2022

Innovative technologies, the latest information and unbeatable in-person networking are what AUSPACK 2022 offers next week.

Opening on Tuesday 17th May and running until Friday 20th at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, this will be the southern hemisphere’s first processing and packaging industry event since 2019.

And, according to APPMA Chairman Mark Dingley, its combined offerings from the exhibition floor, to the two-day Leaders’ Forum Conference, free Solutions Seminar Series across the four days, and zoned show-floor areas, are what makes AUSPACK 2022 an event not to be missed.

Exhibition floor

More than 250 exhibitors will show the latest technologies and leading-edge solutions for primary, secondary and tertiary packaging needs across the food, bakery, beauty, beverage, dairy, distribution, health, household, industrial, meat, pharmaceutical and retail sectors.

“Whether that’s packaging materials or materials-handling equipment, coding and vision systems, storage systems, robotics or automation technology, it will be on the floor at AUSPACK.”

This year there are three zones on the show floor – Processing Equipment, Packaging & Packaging Materials, and Packaging Machinery. “Zones allow people to optimise their time at the show, making it easy for visitors to spend time and ask questions of exhibitors who know they have already-interested inquiries.”

Solutions Seminar Series

This year’s Solutions Seminar Series will again provide a unique opportunity to hear from industry experts across a wide program of workshops, discussions, presentations and case studies. Over four days, through two theatres, attendees can dive deeper into solutions to help solve complex problems or learn about new areas.

Mr Dingley said to show the breadth of the Solutions Seminar Series’ curated sessions across technology, solutions and strategies, there are eight in the category of Packaging and Packing Materials; seven in Sustainability and the Circular Economy; five in Innovation; four in each of Future Technology, Processing and Equipment, and Future Trends; three in each of Renewable Energy, Future Warehouse, and Manufacturing; two in both Meat Processing and Preventative Maintenance; and one in each of Digital Transformation and Consumer Trends.

“In total, there are nearly 50 sessions across the four days. Situated on the expo floor, the Solutions Theatres are free to attend via visitors’ AUSPACK 2022 registration badge, offering those coming to AUSPACK 2022 excellent added value.”

Leaders’ Forum Conference

Mr Dingley said for business managers and owners wanting to understand the new world of industry, innovation and collaboration, the AUSPACK 2022 Leaders’ Forum is perfect.

Over the middle two days of AUSPACK, Wednesday 18th and Thursday 19th of May, an incredible line-up of speakers will talk about insights, strategies and trends driving the industry, both now and in the future. This forum brings together the thought leaders, those who have changed the industry, and leaders who understand the big discussions that industry needs to improve, collaborate and shape the future.

Mr Dingley said, “This Leaders’ Forum Conference is like no other, not only for its speaker depth, but the way we have scheduled the program allows people to choose the sessions and content most relevant to them. Those who need to be on their stands, will also find we have created breaks across both days for networking, or going back to be part of their company’s stand team.

“In light of the times we are in, we have also created online tickets, so those who are unable to be onsite in Melbourne can still attend virtually and gain from this wonderful Leaders’ Forum Conference.

“There are also benefits to APPMA members, with a 15 per cent discount on forum tickets; details are on the website.”

Product demonstrations

Once again, many exhibitors will be running live demonstrations on their stands at AUSPACK. Among these will be: bagging technology, CIJ printing, smart cameras, date and batch coding, 2D coding, pallet labelling, product inspection, product traceability, laser coding, robotic palletising, carton packing equipment and more.

Mr Dingley urged those considering attending AUSPACK 2022 who had not yet registered for the free exhibition (which will also allow access for the Solutions Seminar Series) or bought tickets to the Leaders’ Forum, to do so now.

“Being the manufacturing industry’s first live event in the southern hemisphere since 2019, AUSPACK 2022 brings excitement and so many opportunities for visitors and exhibitors.”

Following strict COVID-Safe guidelines, AUSPACK 2022 will be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, 17-20 May 2022. Tickets to the exhibition are free and are still available on the website. Entry to the Solutions Theatres is also free, via the registration pass.

A few tickets to the AUSPACK Leaders’ Forum Conference (18-19 May), online and in person, are available for purchase.
