Wednesday, February 23rd, 2022 - Girl Guides SA

On 22nd February, Girl Guides and Girl Scouts acknowledge World Thinking Day. Celebrated since 1926, World Thinking Day is a day of international friendship. This year’s theme is Our World, Our Equal Future.

Connection to our environment and the natural world has been a pillar of Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting since the Movement started over a century ago and is as vital and relevant today as ever. Girls will be participating in a range of activities to explore environmental issues, practice their gender equality mindset and take action. It’s a special celebration for Girl Guides SA as we celebrate 110 years since the first unit opened in South Australia.

That’s 110 years of empowering girls and young women to discover their potential as leaders of their world. For more information on joining in the fun for girls and young women, contact us on [email protected] or call 8418 0900.
