Fast-growing national restaurant chain RASHAYS® is continuing on its digital transformation journey by appointing experienced tech leader Prakhar Rawat as CTO.
Founder Rami Ykmour said that Mr Rawat would help scale the business on the technology front, following major changes during the pandemic.
"Our business has been through multiple lockdowns which have profoundly impacted the business model," Mr Ykmour said. "We went from 100% dine-in to having to adapt to 100% takeaway overnight to ensure RASHAYS® survival.
"For our company to make this transition, we had to innovate quickly and this could not be achieved without investing in our technology department to make the customer experience better. Now we want to continue to improve our technology as we expand our network of RASHAYS® Restaurants across Australia. I decided to seek an experienced CTO to help support our journey and I am pleased to welcome Prakhar Rawat as our CTO. This is an exciting time for our brand, and I am happy Prakhar can be a part of it. We are a family business, Prakhar is now part of the family."
In a career spanning over a decade, Mr Rawat has worked with several big brands in the global market to help achieve digital transformation and optimisation of their business processes. A high performing technology leader with a proven track record of solving challenging business problems, he used the power of technology to achieve massive results in his previous tenure as CTO of a scale-up martech company based in Sydney.
"RASHAYS® is a business that puts its customers and employees at the heart of its operations," Mr Rawat said. "I am truly elated to be welcomed as part of the RASHAYS® family and am looking forward to working with Rami and the team. My mission is to deliver simplicity in customer experience while utilising the best of technology to enable efficiencies at scale for the benefit of RASHAYS® growing network of restaurants across Australia."
RASHAYS® has been proudly Australian family-owned and operated since 1998, when its first restaurant in Liverpool, NSW, opened. Since then, RASHAYS® has opened more than 32 restaurants across NSW, ACT, VIC and QLD, feeding over 100,000 customers a week.
"Our customers have grown to love our unique Australian concept and exceptional casual dining experiences," Mr Ykmour said. "Our goal is to continue to grow our franchising group by constantly innovating and shaking up the market."
