Thursday, April 16th, 2020 - Total Team Building

One of Australia’s leading providers of team building events and activities, Total Team Building is proud to announce six innovative virtual experiences that can help businesses prepare for a life working remotely. In response to the World Health Organisation’s concerns about employee wellness and mental health during the current crisis, Total Team Building has developed a new range of programs to help support companies and their remote and isolated employees. The WHO has said staying connected and engaged with colleagues and networks is vital for mental health in stressful and worrying times.

Total Team Building is proud to have launched six remote team building activities designed specifically for virtual workers and remote employees. These programs will help any business support remote and isolated colleagues and boost much-needed morale. These include:

  • Office Olympics - a fun collaboration-based team challenge that with see remote teams compete across 10 virtual events for points. It’s like a decathlon but with a difference.
  • Virtual Amazing Race – In this competitive event, teams of two or four will virtually race around the world from the comfort of their homes completing fun tasks and challenges.
  • The Daily Kick-Off - a creative self-led challenge that will set teams on the right track each morning by encouraging employees to shoot their own short motivational videos for one another.
  • Virtual Happy Hour - In the absence of work socials, the virtual happy hour is an opportunity for everyone to come together, have a drink and connect whilst playing a fun team-based virtual quiz. It will enable teams to have a laugh and get competitive via video conferencing, keeping that feeling of unity firmly in place.
  • Virtual Away Day - Team strategy is the key to winning this challenge; players must communicate effectively and collaborate, and work with the other remote players in order to progress.
  • Level Up - The aim of the game is simple … Score as many points as possible before you run out of time. There’s something for everyone in this fun, frenetic activity – it’s a sure-fire hit!

Darren Brady, Owner and Director of Total Team Building, said: “One of the challenges businesses may face is managing and supporting employee mental health during these uncertain times. How do you keep teams connected, motivated and engaged as remote workers may feel isolated and lonely? We want to do everything we can to make things fun, make isolation less painful and make working from home feel more connected. We are committed to helping businesses motivate, inspire, connect and engage their employees and that is why we have created a range of remote team building programs."
