In what was a momentous day for Kokoda Residences at Waitara, the highly anticipated retirement project held their official ‘Turning of the First Sod’ onsite ceremony, on Friday 14 February.
Her Excellency, the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC, QC, Governor of New South Wales, and Patron of Vasey Communities joined local dignitaries, Vasey Communities’ directors and invited guests for the ground-breaking event.
Proceedings began at 12 noon with speeches delivered by Graham Hooper, Vasey Communities’ CEO, followed by Vasey Communities’ Chairman, Kate Gunton and concluded with Her Excellency, Governor of NSW' speech and the turning of the first sod. Refreshments were served at the Kokoda Residences' Sales Suite after the official proceedings.
